Saragozza – Men's Suede Fringe Shoe with Natural Crepe Sole
Designed in collaboration with the Left Hand team, Saragozza is something very special indeed. A distinctive three-eyelet moccasin-inspired shoe, defined by its beautifully soft, full collar fringe and relaxed low-profile shape. Handcrafted in Portugal from premium Sciarada Castoro reverse cow suede, the rich texture of the leather gives every pair its own individual character.
Traditional hand-stitched detailing and a natural crepe sole complete a shoe that feels every bit as good as it looks – soft, flexible and unmistakably Meanforme.
The Saragozza Story
Saragozza is a district of Bologna — the birthplace of Massimo Osti and the city where the foundations of Left Hand were laid. The name connects the shoe to a place, a history and a shared approach to design and craftsmanship.
The inspiration comes from a 1993 Left Hand archive jacket, made from Osti's innovative Micro fabric. Its distinctive raw-cut fringe became the starting point for Saragozza — reinterpreted in premium Italian suede to create the shoe's unique full fringed collar.
Sacchetto Construction – Our “Little Bag” Construction
At the heart of Saragozza is Sacchetto (Little Bag) construction, a traditional Italian shoemaking technique renowned for its softness and flexibility. Instead of relying on a conventional rigid insole board, the supple suede upper is carefully stitched to a soft leather lining beneath the foot, creating a lightweight, almost glove-like construction.
The result is a shoe that feels beautifully soft from the first wear, flexing naturally with the foot and delivering the relaxed comfort that defines Saragozza.
Natural Crepe – Comfort
Saragozza sits on our signature natural crepe rubber sole, bringing softness, cushioning and exceptional flexibility underfoot. Combined with the lightweight Sacchetto construction, the result is a shoe that bends and moves naturally with the foot, with an easy, almost slipper-like feel from the very first wear. A removable cushioned footbed provides an additional layer of everyday comfort.
The Kit
Every pair of Saragozza is supplied with two sets of laces and a partitioned cotton Meanforme drawstring storage bag. The result is a distinctive handcrafted shoe that combines premium Italian reverse suede, traditional shoemaking techniques and a bold full-collar fringe — unmistakably Meanforme & Left Hand in both character and construction.

Every pair of Saragozza passes through 63 pairs of skilled hands on its journey through our factory, from the first cut to the final packing. At every stage, raw materials are shaped, stitched and finished with care, skill and attention to detail — slowly transforming them into something a little special. Something worthy of the Meanforme and Left Hand name.
