Designed in Manchester, Harley is our more expressive interpretation of the classic men's boat shoe, combining a relaxed moccasin-inspired silhouette with distinctive long-hair leather, traditional craftsmanship and our signature natural crepe rubber sole.
A very Unique Leather
Harley is finished with a hand-formed natural crepe rubber sole, creating the flexibility, cushioning and relaxed appearance that has become a defining feature of Meanforme footwear. The moccasin-style construction and hand-finished detailing give the shoe a character that sits somewhere between a traditional boat shoe and something altogether less conventional.
A Shoe With Character
Harley was never intended to be a conventional boat shoe. The long-hair leather gives each pair its own texture and personality, while the relaxed moccasin-inspired shape keeps the overall design unmistakably wearable.
The original Plum and Black editions showcase the character of the leather particularly well, with subtle variations in the natural hair creating a finish that makes every pair slightly different. Removable tongue fringes — traditionally known as kilties — add another dimension to the design and can be worn or removed depending on how you want Harley to look.
The Kit
Each pair also includes removable tongue fringes, or kilties, allowing Harley's appearance to be changed depending on how you choose to wear it. Alternative leather and cotton laces are supplied alongside a natural cotton Meanforme drawstring storage bag.
