Risedale L– Ladies Suede & Leather Boots with Natural Crepe Soles
Risedale L is the women's interpretation of the shoe that started Meanforme. Designed in Manchester and built on a slimmer, more refined last developed specifically for the female foot, it retains the distinctive character of the original Risedale while introducing a more feminine profile. Premium leathers and suedes, lightweight construction, removable cushioned footbeds and hand-stitched natural crepe rubber soles remain at the heart of every pair.
The Original Meanforme
Risedale L is handcrafted from premium Italian reverse suede and left fully unlined, allowing the substantial leather to remain beautifully soft, flexible and naturally comfortable around the foot. The collection has since grown to include full-leather versions and distinctive long-hair leathers, each bringing its own texture and character while retaining the slimmer, more refined Risedale L silhouette.
Lightweight Strobel Construction
Risedale L uses lightweight Strobel construction, where the upper is stitched to a flexible base rather than built around a traditional rigid insole board. Combined with its softer upper materials, more refined women’s last and removable cushioned footbed, this allows the shoe to move naturally with the foot, creating the soft, flexible and relaxed feel that has defined Risedale from the very beginning
Hand-Stitched Natural Crepe
Underfoot, every Risedale is finished with a 6mm natural crepe rubber sole, carefully formed and hand-stitched to the upper. The process takes our skilled craftspeople around an hour for each pair, creating a flexible, cushioned sole with the distinctive natural character of genuine crepe rubber.
