Gosford – Men's Suede Boat Shoe with Natural Crepe Sole
Designed in Manchester, Gosford is our interpretation of the classic men's suede boat shoe, stripped back to its essentials and rebuilt the Meanforme way. Handcrafted in Portugal from premium Conceria Opera reverse cow suede, it combines the relaxed character of a traditional deck shoe with exceptional materials, flexibility and everyday comfort.
Sacchetto Construction – Our “Little Bag” Construction
At the heart of Gosford is Sacchetto construction, a traditional Italian shoemaking technique designed to create an exceptionally soft and flexible shoe. Rather than using a rigid insole board, the supple suede upper is stitched directly to a soft leather lining beneath the footbed, creating a lightweight, almost glove-like structure that moves naturally with the foot.
Natural Crepe – Comfort and Flexibility
Underfoot, Gosford is finished with our signature natural crepe rubber sole, adding cushioning and flexibility while maintaining its low, relaxed profile. A removable cushioned footbed provides additional comfort for everyday wear.
The Kit
Each pair comes with two sets of laces as well as a cotton Meanforme drawstring storage bag which is divided into compartments. The outcome is a unique hand-made men's boat shoe that combines premium Italian suede, traditional construction methods and the simple style typical of Meanforme shoes.
